Eric Edison is on the academic foundation programme at St George's university, having completed a BSc in neuroscience at Cambridge and MBBS at University College London.

His interests include clinical neurosciences, surgery, medical management and medical education. He is managing editor of the peer-reviewed open access journal Annals of Medicine and Surgery. He launched the website and group MedicalLeadership.Net with a team of students at UCL in 2011, and is currently the lead for Personal and Professional Development on the medical student group of the Faculty of Medical Leadership and Management. Projects under FMLM include setting up a national "Experience Network" and campaigning for inclusion of medical management and leadership in university curriculae. At UCL, he was also on the working group for the new UCL MBBS curriculum rolled out in 2-12/13, and is involved in peer teaching schemes. 

Publications and presentations have included a body of work on the methodology and reporting of Randomised Controlled Trials in surgery. Other presentations include work on neurorehabilitation and quality improvement.
